Can anyone refer me to site where it reviews the different brands of 17 Lcd Monitors? I've heard good reviews about Planar brand.

lol, cnet reviews are so bias. If you want a review, use google and find independent review sites, not commercially paid sites like cnet. It's like asking THG to do a review on Intel CPUs. Of course they're gonna say it's the best processor on the market.

Samsung 17" LCDs are really really good, but a bit pricey.
