On a reciever what would be the best input to use for connecting to the computer, only analog inputs avail. It has 1 video open, the tape inputs, and well phono, but phono isnt really an option. currently the computer is running on one of the video inputs, but I didnt know if it really made a difference in audio as to where it is actually going through on the receiver.

The only one that makes a difference in your application is phono, phono inputs are about 100(or soime huge number) times more sensitive, and plugging your computer in the phono jacks would certainly blow the amp to hell. Otherwise, no difference in the audio sense.
