I was just wondering if overclocking really helps your 3dmark scores. I'm asking this since i'd like to know before i download it and start some testing and overclocking (some more).

Yes overclocking helps your 3dmark scores. Overclocking is making your components perform better.

The better they perform, the better your score.

TDF.

For 3dmark01, you need to overclock your CPU, FSB, memory, video card, etc. It is a good overall benchmarking program because it tests your entire computer setup.

For 3dmark03, you can get away with less of an overclock on your CPU because it mainly just tests your video card. So you need to overclock your video card GPU and memory as high as possible.
