Problem updating bios on P4P8X SE

Just bought this board at a show yesterday. It's running fine but has a bios release from october last year...

I am using asus life-update (latest version). update over the net does not work at all - getting messages that no valid bios file can be found on any of the three asus servers. This is kind of risky anyhow, so I went and downloaded the latest versions 1003 and 1004beta from Germany and also from the US server and extracted them.

Now using "update from a file" the tool tells me that the files are not compatible with the firmware hub or something like that. Has anyone here encountered that? I hate to use the dos utility plus I'd have to install a floppy just for that prupose.

Man you should try the ASUS ez-flash, worked fine for me, no boot disc required! I think your board supports it too...
