I need to know what software would be optimal for backing up a full HD onto DVD-R so I wouldn't have to reinstall everything over and over while I wipe my HD for testing purposes. I tried Nero 6 Backup but I got an error after the first disk and it's expensive to replace these good disks everytime the system hiccups.

Thanks in advance.

If you don't mind getting a little bit dirty and learning a little bit about linux, you can use a live Linux CD such as Knoppix which has "free" tools to do the same job. If you want to go this route, post a question on the Alternative OS group here in these forums.

Otherwise, Ghost is the way to go :)
