    can beta windows 64 bit edition be installed as a rigs OS without a other OS?

    i was wondering could i save 90 dollars on buying an OS by DLing the windows beta 64 bit edition and installing it on a new rig? anybody know?

    you could, you couldn't run any programs, but you could.

    Sure you can, it's good for 365 days. I wouldn't recommend doing that though, there are few drivers for it right now, and the ones that are out are still in beta.

    Yeah stay away from it for a while.

    Boy it'll be exciting when 64 bit windows becomes mainstream.
