For the record:

Specified thermal failure for 32-bit AthlonXP processors is 85C (most cores), measured from exact top dead center on the CPU die. Point or total failure will probably occur around 90 to 110C, and a sudden rise in temperature (>20C instantaneous) will probably thermally-fracture the core, or cause other damage.

I would say that temperature_never_exceed should be less than 65C diode and that, if at all possible, normal operating temperatures should remain below 50C diode especially if you are pumping more than 1.8V through.
