After the trial-by-fire that left my previous T-Bird smoldering and with a scorch mark across it's ceramic, a new T-Bird has come to fill it's spot.

The old T-Bird was:

A1400AMS3C
AYHJA0123MPMW
K0073650175

The new T-Bird is:

A1400AMS3C
AYHJA0125FPCW
Y6497930349

Could anyone tell me or link me to the differences between the AYHJA-K and the AYHJA-Y? Any information is welcome. Thanks.

think the K AND Y stand for were they were made, not sure though, either way it was to do w/ stepping.

btw I think Y= it was made in the dresden fab in germany
and K= it was made in the austin fab (I think thats where it is, don'y quate me though)

There isn't very much information on the K stepping of Athlon 1.4 chips. However the stepping of your new processor looks good and you should be able to get nice overclocking results!
