question about nvidia fx5900xt cards

oh.... tat u make it so nice.....
now i order new eVGA 5900U 256MB 256bit... it can be OC as well into 5950U or not?!?
or i just nothing the else just can be 5900U only??!??!

Luckly you! I can only get 450/780. Auto detach only gets me default speeds.

sorry Nebulous U R wrong...the XT has the mem pipe cut in half. 64-bit. Comprable to the SE line of ATIs

It gets harder and harder to keep this stuff straight I know that a few months ago when I bought my fx5600 the guy sold me an XT saying it was better than an Ultra after doing some research I took it back because it had 64bit mem pipe as opposed to 128, everywhere I read it said NVIDIA XT=ATI SE, now they go and change crap all around, for Pete's sake just pick a standard and stick with it Nvidia and ATI

edit: Well on that link you provided it said the mem pipe was 128bit and the GPU pipe was 256 so going on the theory stated above and by you, I guess the 5900 and 5900U are 256 and the 5900XT has it's pipe cut in half to 128 bit like I said above, which would finally make some sense.

Actually, most fx5900xt's are 256-bit.... Thats how som nay people are able to get 7,000+ scores with them (with massive tuning nontheless). I think only very severe cheap brands have 128-bit for the 5900xt's.

ya the only diffrence is the stock clock speeds, the XTs being slightly lower then the NU and U's, really doesnt make to much of a diffrence once you start OCing.

someone plz telling me about the 5900U.... wat the max clock it can?? beside tat it can flash to 5950 or more high performance card??!?!

Theres no telling what your 5900u will clock to. Every card is different. Who knows, your card could overclock worse than mine. The only way tyo check is by flashing and overclocking yourself.

but without AA and AF.

and the LE version i've heard of with the 6800 series (it's an OEM version), but not with the 5900s.

i could overclock my old MSI 5900XT up to 516/800 without any problems.
