Alright I just put in a Sata drive. It is recognized in the bios, recognized in the device manager but I can't find it in My Computer. Know I installed the SATA Link Controller. Can someone help me so I can transfer files to this new drive?

And it's recognized as an SCSI device and its a Hitachi 7k250 sata drive 80gb

you will probabley need to use the Disk Management Tool to format the disk.
you can find it here
Adminstrative Tools > Computer Managment > Disk Management.
it will show up there, right click on the drive, choose format.

After your done, you should be good to go.

yup!!! partition and then format, i love SATA drives because they literally take about 10 seconds to format the whole drive instead of the 30 minutes for the IDE drives.
