Has anyone seen a RAID controller card "buyer's guide?"

...that's what i need...

i'm planning on RAID-0ing two IDE WD 120GB HDDs, (8mb buffer variety)

some quick questions as well:

How important is a cache in a RAID controller card? Do those without a cache suffer in performance/stability/reliability relative to those with a cache?

What are some trustful brands when it comes to RAID controller cards

any general buying advice/experiences w/ these gidgits to share?

Promise is good AFAIK. Dunno about a good RAID card comparison - a lot of people around are using onboard raid, because it comes with the board.
