I have two 120mm 14dba versions and they're nothing special.
If you want them quiet you have to use the included resistor, but I just run them on a fan controller. Don't notice any difference from my evercool aluminum fans. Glad I got them used, they charge way too much for those fans.

Hmm I was actually seriously considering SilenX. I was going to get 1 of the 92mm 14dba, and 5 of their 80mm 14dba... I want a real quiet PC and thought these guys could deliver it for me. A lot of bad wrap you guys are giving them. If I don't buy from these guys, are there any other brands that you would suggest for silent fans?

Papst = good + expensive. Panaflo = the standard 'decent' fan. Lots of people like Sanyo Denki.

The easiest way to get a quiet fan is to get one that doesn't push much air.

The easiest way to get a quiet fan that pushes a lot of air is to get a really big fan, or two fans.
