I was just about to put a post questioning when the 3000+ S939 was supposed to come out.
I was wondering if it was worth waiting till November since I'm hurting now, but I was only willing to wait if there was some gaurantee that they would be arrive by then.

c627627:

In your A64 chart, one comment,
could you change "same MHz speed" to either
- "same clock frequency" which is the correct technical term
or at least
- "same clock speed", less correct, but ok if you need to save character space.
IMO, I would prefer "same clock frequency" than "same clock speed".

MHz is an unit for frequency.

E.g. meter is an unit for distance, we don't say
"same meter apart", but rather "same distance apart".

Wow thats sooner than expected. Hopefully Nvidia's nforce4 comes out due time also.

Yes i'm so glad I waited

so... definitely no 90nm 754's?

Why? The s939 90nm which comes in 3000, 3200, and 3500 flavors right now are priced around the existing s754s.

Good point, I didn't know that.... do they have a great advantage over 754?

I am going get the money for a new rig, and be poor again, damnit! We have 90nm stuff, and next month NF4/w/e, and next spring, we have DDR2 rolling out, and if we have full PCI-E in NF4, poor me is gonna be out of money, lol

this is great that we are having the 90nm coming out, all we need to find out now is if they are anything like the preshott, if they are, then I think we are in some serious trouble, unless you have water/phase changing cooling. Air just isnt gonna cut it if they are that hot, and if now, guess what, another black eye and a bloody nose for Intel!

All I can say is that I am realy impressed by what AMD has done with their products, they quit *****footing around and just played some hardball, now see what that got them! lol

Why are they so cheap?

Hopefully those prices are accurate and will force a drop in price for the 130nm 754s.

mmmm i smell another upgrade in the near future. Just hope these things will overclock okay, then maybe i'll pull the trigger. Right after upgrading to s754 a64.
Oh well maybe i'll have two systems.

I'd say to wait for the nforce4 board, who knows, maybe DFI will come out with a 939 lanparty soon.
