For today's systems, is getting say a Fortron 530 just for upgradability's sake? Or there actually stabler rails/better overclocks to be had over say a Fortron 350? I mean obviously I know one is better than the other but is the cost differential really worth it, and what exactly will you get in terms of better performance?

Thanks,
Jack

The 530W model will have more stable rails when heavily loaded. To be honest, I wouldnt build a PC today with anything much below a 400W PSU.

Although, if your system isnt too heavy on the power (ie say a CPU, mobo, two sticks RAM, 1 HDD, 1 optical drive) then a 350W will probably cope. However when you have, say, a dual CPU system with 2 hard disks, 3 optical drives and 4 sticks RAM then a 350W probably wont do so well.

Ok, thank you both for the input, Im gonna go with the Forton 350. :)
