USB 256MB JUMPDRIVE Dead?

I was using my jump drive at school to save something when the PC froze and now it has corrupted the partition on the drive and i dont know how to format it....the PC will still see that there is a jumpdrive pluged in but there is no icon in "my computer" for it so i cant reformat it ......does any one know how to fix this

If your using XP or 2K right click on My Computer and choose Manage. Click on Disk Management. You should see the Jumpdrive in the list, right click on it and choose Format or Partition.

It will not let me format
