SATA and IDE

I want to use my SATA as the primary boot drive with my operating system on it (XP pro) I also want to use my 60 gig WD IDE drive as a storage device. I got it to boot fine into windows on my sata drive and it does recognize the ide drive in the device manager but it doesnt show the ide drive as being there in my computer. Please help a noob out.

motherboard: ABit IC7-Max 3
Sata drive - HItachi 160 gig.

Have you tried partitioning & formating the HDD yet?

first off XP Home or Pro, or what?

Second if it is XP you need to go to Adminstrative Tools and then and then Disk Management. Does it show there?

alright, i got it now. I just used partition magic 8.0 and it found it and i partitioned it and everything is good. thanks. I didnt know how to do it within xp.
