I didn't even notice the ads, since they came pre-blocked in FF w/plugins.
In general, I don't mind ads, as long as the page isn't plastered in them, which I discovered this site is getting dangerously close to.
What I hate are pop-up flash ads, which are very annoying (they especially suck when they don’t load completely for whatever reason, and it’s missing the close button since it didn’t load – arrghhh!) and must die. Also, those intellitext ads. I despise those with a significant part of my being, since randomly moving your mouse results in a massive text bubble blocking what you were trying to read. No. F-you, intellitext.
Other than those, most ads are reasonable. Doesn’t stop me from blocking them, since blocking is so easy, but, whatever, I could live with a few banner ads.
