it looks like my 120GB 2MB IDE Maxtor is sprinting ahead of my raptor?
the 120 is on its own channel from the mobo header.

Try another SATA cable. That should not be happening at all.

I had that happening to my drives, my IDE was ousting my SATA. It was a faulty SATA line, just replace it. Might not be though.
