HD mgiht be ready to go

What sort of noise shows that i HD might be ready to go

A loud Whining noise like a really high pitched EEEEEEEEE, or the HDD clicking on and OFF locking the system up when doing things like playing games or Defraggin or something Intense things like that.


I just recently got myself this WD raptor, because my brothers 60gb WD was dying doing all of the above, so i gave him my smaller 40gb Maxtor but its much faster.

Clicking, clunking, loud whirring or scratching noises. Anything that sounds odd and unusual.

But what sort of noise should it make,
