Am I able to transfer it to another chipset like Promise, NVraid or Via raid (built-in into SB) without much hassle?

It's just that I do not have access to another P4 board and I really really want to stay away from Intel for the time being. :)

Thanks :)

You will need to rebuild the array, all data will be lost when transferring to a new controller.

Remove all links in your sig. You are in violation of Forums Rules.

The only links that you are allowed to have in your sigs are to the OC Folding team or to the OC SETI team, or the OC 3DMark Team. Those of you trading are also allowed to have a heatware link. Senior members are exempt from this rule. If you want to know how to become a senior member you can peruse the forum guide.

Absolutely nothing else is allowed. Period. If you feel that you have a link that should be allowed (would only qualify for overclockers benefit) PM an admin about it, and they will pass on acceptance or not. This does include text URLs of ANY kind...it doesn't necessarily have to be a hyperlink. It also includes your email address. If somebody else has something, let a mod know so that we can take care of it.

Just to make it easy, these are the only URLs allowd in your sig:
http://*.octeams.com
http://www.ocsetiteam.com
http://www.heatware.com/<user profile linking>

And that's all of them.
