Wondering which of these two is the newest fastest....thx in advance.

native sata support for the max10 (max9 uses a pata to sata converter chip)
2 to 8mb cache on the max9 series
8 - 16mb cache on the max10 series..
native command queuing on the max10 (whatever that is)

This is what makes SATA shine.(It's a really good thing)

16MB buffer + NCQ = gold

I'm still waiting for Raptors with this.

aha.. i read only a little bit about NCQ, but doesnt it also need a controller/motherboard to support it?

and, is NCQ where a HardDrive *smartly* places data in its cache if it *knows* it will be used?

XiaO8:
- Native S-ATA (no converter chip)
- Native Command Queuing
- 16Mb cache/buffer (above 200Gb)

thats what makes the max10 better :)
