I have the following settings in my bios for memory setting:
1. SDRAM cycle timing (choices 5t,7t and 7t,9t)
2. Memory driving (normal or strong)

I have a PIII 700 on an asus cusl2-c mobo. how would these 2 setting effect my o/c stability?

lower values are faster
higher is more stable

What i would do is set them to the lower values (as you get more speed) and then do stability test. You fav FPS would be a good one to use or 3DMARk.. if you want i can pass some stability testing program along your way.

But must RAM will work fine with the lower(faster) values, unless you have cheap RAM that is already highly overclocked
and example would be
Cheap CAS 3 PC-100 @ 133FSB
