I was wondering it the AIW 9800Pro was any different from a regular 9800pro performance wise or do they have the same performance???

At stock speeds, I doubt you'd be able to notice any difference.
While it is entirely possible that the AIW cards are some kind of crazy, I'm sure that, chances are, all the parts of the AIW are silkscreened onto a normal 9800 Pro and just aren't present. In other words, I'd expect the same core, same memory, et cetera.
