Well I got 32 sec @ 1mb... with prescott patch

Hmmm, if you are getting a 32 sec time at 3.7 gig on a Pressie, I think you got the SuperPI program that is invalid due to the cheat. Fastest time I ever clocked on a P4 was 34 on a Pressie at 4.1 gig. My SuperPI program is the original one I got two years ago.

Try posting your time on the P4 forum and see what everybody thinks.

I get 31-32 sec on a Winnie at 2700 mhz on a S939 board. None of my monster P4 rigs running 4 gig plus can touch it, either Prescott or Northwood. I got ram running 3500+ unbuffered at 1:1, 2-2-2-5 or 2.5-2-2-5, full PAT. What are you running to get 32 sec at 3.7 gig?

He says he's using the Prescott patch.

But wasn't there a patch out that was a cheat? How would one know if the cheat isn't incorporated in the Prescott patch?

That's an awwfully fast time. It's so fast compared to a NW it smells like something's rotten in Denmark.

I could try the patch on my Pressies but if I got those times, if the 3DMark scores don't correlate, I'd take it with a grain of salt.

This is a cheat, perhaps I shoulda been clearer. It's most certainly recognized as a cheat by all reputed enthusiasts.

That's more like a 34-sec legit score.

I know on a NW, 3.7 gig, even with 3500+ unbuffered at 2.5-2-2-5, full PAT, would get me 38 sec. I haven't run my Pressies that low, so I can't say. I get 34-36 sec at 4.0-4.1 gig with the old SuperPI program.

Anyways, on the AMDs, it's pretty automatic based on the size: 31-32 sec at 2700 mhz, 33-34 sec at 2600, 34-35 at 2500. If you got slow ram, add 1 sec to that. I'm talking Winnie on a S939 board, running stuff like 270x10, 2.5-3-3-6.

At 2700 mhz, I had same 32 sec at 270x10, 2.5-3-3-6 as 300x9, 166 divider for 200 mhz on the ram at 2-3-3-6! So the times seem pretty automatic based on size.

On a NC at 2700 mhz I got 33 sec, same as a CO Claw at 2600 mhz.

I get 35s at 262x9 and 34s at 266x9 the occasional time it doesnt crash, but ive got win2k ;)

How is your score's so bad if win2k is faster and your running @ higher fsb and a newier cpu?
