    4x vs 8x agp

I currently have a asus p4sp-mx mobo and a gf fx 5700. The max agp on the mobo is only 4x and the card is 4x/8x. So my question is, is it worth upgrading my mobo so i can use the 8x agp? and btw i have the 5700 oc'ed at 333/623.

I think a cpu upgrade would be a much better choice. The difference in performance is almost nothing between agp 4x and 8x.

That would be an upgrade for sure but I would ask around in the Intel cpu section.

Buy whatever is cost effective, I would personaly get a 3.2 or 3ghz(if I ever bought an intel). Really, any P4c will be an upgrade for you.

I wouldn't upgrade for the agp, but you may want to upgrade the chipset for some new features and stuff, along with it getting 8x. As mentioned, a cpu would probably be your first priority, perhaps doing both at the same time. If such happens, definately go with athlon 64.
