Best driver for x700pro??

Hey all, i am having serious issues with my x700, i downloaded the 4.12 ati drivers, and when ever i play cod, i always get some type of vidio error. Are there any other drivers that are better?? I am willing to try anything at this point.. This is my first ATI based card, and its lookin like it may be my last, if it dosent shape up..... (the most common problem im having is that whenever i exit out of cod, and restart it, the screen is really dim, and i have to adjust the brightness) Any help is appreciated......
