ive tried electrical and duct....after a few weeks they all loose their sticknes nad my cables fall...these cables rae in a location where it would be impractical to use zipties....

High Voltage Electrical Tape may do it, not sure what you want to use it for, its mostly for wrapping, but if you use it for that it will hold under heat.

Are you positive that its heat? Could it be the dust collecting on the sticky side thus loosing its stick? You could always try heatshrinking material if you are wrapping but if you are connecting it to a surface then you may want to try wiring guides which have a base with either a sticky side or a screw hole and then a loop, ziptie or interlocking plastic arms. Rubber electrical insulating tape, used to insulate high current connections actually fuses to itself, no matter what the environment it will not unravel. If your not interested in cosmetics this will work, problem is it's thick, maybe a 1/16", so by the time you get a couple wraps you got a big ugly wad of black rubber, not pretty, but gauranteed the end won't unravel, lol.

Good Luck

that sounds good...im just using the tape to hold the excess wires to the metal above the window (like the metal border that goes arround the window on the pc-65 and most cases with windows....)

You could buy some of those self adhesive cable clips, peel off the sticky foam pad on the back and then epoxy them to the case in the right positions. Then you'd be able to unhook your cables easy when you wanted to change anything.

This kind of thingy...

There's some you can get in walmart for like $2 a pack of 20.

Maybe you could even give the regular adhesive back a try, never know, might work.

Yup, RW is correct, the adhesive backed wire mounts are just the ticket for what your trying to accomplish, I use 'em in my boxes, (and tons of them at work) the 3/4" square ones, as they're easy to hide. I do however prefer the ones that have holes for a ty-rap, gives you more options as far as how many wires you want to mount on it. One thing to remember is when you tie wires to it make sure the wires aren't stressed, trying to pull on the sticky square, and the adhesive back will work fine, also make sure the surface you stick to is clean. Radio Shack also has just what you need.
