video cards with PCI Epress

I was going to get the X700, and it has PCI Express. What is he difference between PCI Express and regular and how do you plug it into your mobo.

PCI EXPRESS IS A COMPLEATLY DIFRENT CONECTION FROM AGP , PCI , PCI-X AND IT COMES IN DIFRENT SPEEDS 1X , 2X , 4X , 8X AND 16X IF U DONT HAVE A MOBO MADE IN THE LAST 9 MONTHS THERE IS NO WAY THAT U HAVE IT

Nope I have an agp slot on the Abit AV8 Pro. The rib is at the opposite end on the PCI Express. Do you know if the X700 is sold in with agp?

no it isnt but the x800 series is

Only some of the X800 series are agp, and they are overpriced compared to the pci-e ones. It might be more beneficial in the long run to hold off until you can do a full system upgrade, because you will save so much on the video card. For example, the X800xl is $275(pci-e) and the x800pro(agp) goes for about $350-$400. The XL is usualy a good 5-10% faster than the pro.

Another option is the 6600gt agp, they go for around $200 and are a bit faster than the x700pro, but not nearly as fast as the pci-e x800np which *should* be $200, but goes for more like $250.
