VID CMOS Setting - What is it?

Hi,

I have this option in the bios for the VID CMOS. Motherboard is in sig. Currently, it is set to 62. I cannot find any info on this setting and what the available settings are? I've seen some with 45 (mostly northwoods), and other prescott's with different values. If anyone can shed any light on how they are determined, it would be appreciated. Thanks!

I believe the VID CMOS setting is in regards to the Intel specification called VRM 9.0 DC-DC Converter Design Guidelines, available in PDF format from Intel here...
