wrong password???

im running winxp pro sp2 with all the updates, well i have an icon on my taskbar to lock my computer when i leave it, but a few weeks ago i locked my computer and then came back, typed in my password and it said it was wrong, i typed the password in one key at a time and still it was wrong, so i rebooted and was able to login just fine, i hit the lock icon and was able to log backin just fine, well it just happend agine. so dose anyone know what would do this? i run anti-virus and anti-spyware programs all the time and nothing ever comes up, so what else would should i look at?

Could it be the caps lock button?

I was thinking that but wouldnt that still be there on a restart?

Not nescesarily. try it, turn on the caps lock then reboot and see if it is still on
