When you align your desktop items to the grid, they are too far apart... at least for me they are. I would like to have them be closer together. Is this doable? Maybe there are some numbers to change in the registry? Thanks.

I know the default spacing value is -1125, and the Registry Keys related to IconSpacing that I know of (and there may be others) are...

HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Control Panel | Desktop | WindowMetrics

HKEY_USERS | .DEFAULT | Control Panel | Desktop | WindowMetrics

...and then more cryptic ones relating to (presumably) individual users, such as:

HKEY_USERS | S-1-5-21-##########-##########-##########-#### | Control Panel | Desktop | WindowMetrics

Try searching the entire Registry for IconSpacing, and check the values for each of the Keys you find.

No registry mods needed, its right in the advanced display properties:

Default is like 43, I set mine to 37.
