neweggs cheapest one is $90 + shipping. The local computer stores around here are bust under par. Last time I went to the one the guy tried to sell my a 9200 ATI telling me its the best card out and was only $150, that was 4 months ago.

Here is a listing of ATX cases from 18.50-50.00 Linky

Do you mean a full tower or a specific design feature?

no more along the lines like these Desktops

I want to be able to stack two together and save alittle space and clean up clutter.

Aha! You want the horizontal things.... yeah I don't know of any much cheaper than $80 and I don't know why they're all so expensive.

They aren't 'hip' anymore, and not many makers make em (most ppl use towers now)..

so that explains the price. they are probably harder to make as well, designwise.

They aren't harder to make, it's just that they aren't in demand and most computer desks aren't made to facilitate them. And a desktop case has fewer ideal places to mount fans.

The cheapest one on newegg is $41: http://www.newegg.com/OldVersion/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-116-125&depa=0
Fairly attractive Desktop case for $46: http://www.amamax.com/pomatdcoenat.html

The only tangible difference is the orientation of the drive bays.
Also look into 4U rackmount cases which are basically the same thing.
