ATI VCU Recovery Errors

Well, my computer has been fritzing, screen goes, black, then comes back up ahrd locked with color blotches. I found now that if I try to watch a DVD, the VPU fails, and ATI pops up an error saying it needs to restart.......is this a bad card, or drivers? HELP!!!!

Just went from the Catalyst drivers to the Omegas, trying to see if it solves the problem.

Anyone? Is this normally a hardware or software issue? I had it with another ATI card a while ago, and it was hardware. Thanks

Mine was doing this but even before running a dvd or a direct x 9 application the screen was noticible fuzzy, upon starting windows it forcefully changed to the second lowest hardware accelerator O_O. I just RMA'd hoping it was the card and not some common problem
