Absolute best wireless card/antenna.

There is a coffee shop with a wireless router and high speed on the floor below me. I have permission to use there wireless network if I can connect. By my "estimations" I'm about 350-370 feet from the router and there are three steel reinforced 1.5 foot thick concrete walls between me and it. Can a connection be made? I imagine it will take a beast of an antenna to get a decent signal through the walls. I'm new to wireless so the question is how much of an effect does the card have on reception and what is the best for this type of situation?
