Will a P!!! 550E cut it for a MCE PC?

Have this system left over, 440BX mainboard and a Slot1 Pentium III 550E (256k full-speed L2, and 100FSB). I know this is plenty for DVD playback but will it cut it at playing DivX/XViD stuff?! I know my bro-in-law has a PIII 667 that seems to do allright...

It would probably work but I would definately say it is on the borderline

i gave away a couple of p1 166mhz laptops with 16mb of ram recently. one of my friends wanted one ONLY to watch divx skateboard videos on at work, and it does so just fine on windows98.

if you run a trim OS, you should have no probs at all.
