power managment software

I have my firends compaq over at my house that im fixing, And Im wondering if theres a 3rd party power managment software out there that I could put on this. Like to show the battery power remaining, and to ajust the throtling, and stuff. Just somethin better than the standard windows stuff that comes with it

not sure about the battery but for throttling and voltage you can get Rightmark cpu clock utility which will let you set up how much the cpu will throttle down or up and it may let you change then voltage to the cpu so you can save battery life
