I just got a new mobo with an nForce2 chipset. Its an Epox 8rda3+ PRO. I got all the nvidia drivers installed, including the audio drivers. I don't know why, but it sounds like crap. It sounds hollow. There are very little mids and no lows at all. I crank the bass up on my speakers all the way and it makes no difference. My last mobo was an Abit KV7 and the onboard audio was MUCH better. The audio had some substance. Is there something I need to do to make it sound better? Am I doing something wrong?

What south bridge was on your previous board and which is on the new board?

The old one was a VIA 8237 I think. And the new one is an nforce2 Gigabit MCP. But I think I got it fixed. I had the mixer set to 4 Speakers instead of 5.1. Thats what threw me off, because I don't have 5.1, I have 4.1 ;)
