OK i just recently recieved an Asus/sony mobo with a P4 2.4 ghz 533fsb. You cant change any of the settings on the thing cus its an OEM board. What i would like to kno is how hot is to hot It idles around 38-41*C and loads at 49-54*C

Is this too hot

Because my 3.0ghz 800 mhz fsb runs idle at 23-25*c and loads at 35-38*c

Im sorry, what relationship does Asus and Sony have??? I dont think sony makes pc motherboards, and definetly not with asus.

Your temps are fine. If you want better temps, then get a better heatsink and fan setup

this is a board that Asus made that sony used in one of their OEM comps... its the p4S533-VX

ok... i will probably end up going with the thermalright XP90C for cooling with a Vantec 90mm stealth fan running at 7 volts
