The standard edition of Windows Server 2003 can easily accomadate 4 CPUs; the enterprise edition can handle 8.

Tyan is a company most well known for making server boards anyway.
 
If something like this is implemented into hardware that si available for the common pc gaming enthusiast it would be something out of this world.

There would be a point where the game wouldn't benefit from anymore RAM/CPUs, so the performance really wouldn't be a great as you'd think. It'd still be nice tho, you could fold, play BF2, encode and burn some DVDs and update Steam all at the same time. :p
 
lol that board is $4843 here.. get 4 optys and 4gb of ram and youre looking at 6000, easy.. thats not even using decent opties lol.. slightly out of my (or most people's) price range :p
