    Question good coffee maker

whats a good coffee maker to get for my mom?
we spent 2hrs yesterday going around stores trying to pick one out..LOL
my mom really liked this programmable one for $100 that dispensed coffee as you push this button!..but then we looked around and eventually just went home

my mom only drinks coffee in the morning in the quantity equivilent of 2 cups ie 16oz lol
so if she were to buy any machine she'd just program it to make 2 cups in the morning!

on the way home she was thinking she should just buy one of the smaller ones that makes like 4 cups and just take the container that it pours the coffee into to work

who could of thought picking a coffee maker could be so HARD

I have my standard 12-cup coffee maker programmed to make 4-5 *measuring* cups (fills a big mug twice) every morning. The reason I went with a 12-cup maker instead of something smaller was for those occasions when we have company and several people want coffee. That's something to think about. I don't know the make and model of my coffee maker, but I'm pretty sure it's a Mr. Coffee.

Melitta brand is good cheap one...Hot and fast.

I use a japanese thermal carafe once its brewed, It holds over 12 cups and keeps coffee hot for 24 hrs.

cut my coffee consumption in HALF. Because i dont throw any away anymore.
