I have a NEC P4 3.06Ghz laptop. It has a "Speedstep" processor which I'm told basically slows CPU speed to conserve power when on batteries. Now I don't want a slower CPU at any time, bugger the battery life. Unfortunatley, no with propietry power management software it's XP's Power Options which will not overide the Speedstep. Does anyone know of a way to make this processor run at it's true clock speed no matter what's powering it?? Thanks a BIG heap for any input.
