Okay, I am in the process of negotiating to purchase a Lacie Electron Blue 22" CRT, the original version that had a Diamondtron with an 1800x1440 max rez to replace my NEC P1250+ that was running at 1600x1200. A month and a half from now (barring a major financial setback) I am going to be replacing my other 21" monitor with a Cintiq 21ux. The idea being that I am going to be using the Cintiq to draw with, and the Electron Blue to make sure my colors are right. This is all going to be run on a single 7800gt for the next couple of months, and I noticed that the 7800gt can accept up to 2048x1536 over analog and 1600x1200 over a digital connection. But now I am wondering if it will be able to handle both 1800x1440 and 1600x1200 at the same time, or am I going to be SOL until I get a second graphics card?
Then again, I just checked the eVGA website, and it would seem that 1800x1440 isn't listed as a compatible rez for the 7800gt, which is odd since other 7800s do list it as a compatible rez...

1800 x 1440 sounds like a widescreen rez to me, are you sure thats correct? the 5:4 / 4:3 rez thats close is 1920 x 1440.

I have a LaCie Electron22BlueIII as my main monitor, and i love it. it isd honestly the best CRT i've had. I'm currently using both this LaCie, and a old Accusync 120 21" at 2048 x 1536 rez on a XFX 6800GS, however im using a digital to analog convertor on the DVI connector to get VGA out of it.

I think you'll be ok with that 7800GT =)
