    SATA cable length

    Does SATA cable length affect data transfer speeds? I am in need of a longer SATA cable (36" over my current 18") will this affect any of my transfer speeds? The two drives that I am using are 74Gb Raptor and Deskstar 250gb.

    I am using a 24" with my samsung and i have seen no reduction in speeds..

    SATA's maximum cable length is 1 meter (39inch).
