I was browsing newegg looking at their CPUs when I saw an overexposed photo of a 3700+, thinking what the heck since there was already another of the exact same chip I clicked on it and I read this review (link )

Pros: Great processor, great value...

Other Thoughts: This is a Toledo dual core with one core disabled. It does have E6 stepping, so should be an (slight) improvement on the San Diego

It doesnt make any sense for AMD to produce another whole core then not capitolize on it, unless it was damaged? Anybody have any info on this thing :shrug:
 
Damaged, probably.

A lot of processors are just higher up cores with stuff disabled (like that x3800 toledo with less L2) or locked.
