Hi,

I have an Antec Bluepower PSU I think it is 480W or maybe even 400W.

Anyway, It's rather good. But will it be able to run.

  • AMD Athlon 64 3700
  • 2GB Corsair XMS PC3200
  • Asus A8N-SLi Premium nForce4 SLi
  • MSI ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB GDDR3
  • 1 IDE HD
  • 1 SATA HD
  • 2 DVD-RW
  • Fans'n stuff

Will it survive or will it just die?

I wouldnt try it... could kill all of your stuff as soon as you power on :) I think you would be better off getting a name brand PSU that is bigger

520w i think

They don't seem to be available over this side of the pond.

Huh? That is a "name brand" PSU. I think it would probably be fine. BTW, that probably should be a "TrueBlue 480" if its made by antec. My system has probably similar power requirements (save for the video card, which does make a big difference, actually) and I run on an antec 550, barely more than yours. Thing is, my UPS tells me it normally only draws about 250 watts, and thats with the monitor on full load on the cpu (although not much load on other components). As long as it has performed alright in the past, it shouldn't hurt to try it. I think that psu should be alright.
