AMD, ATI the same company

If AMD pulls that crud (making ATi work only wiht AMD) i will buy nVidia. I'm a fan of ATi, but buying worse CPU isn't worth it staying brand loyal.

Brand loyal is about the dumbest thing one can be, with the way this industry work.

Who cares who made it, AMD/ATI, Intel, NV.. there all corperations and there is only one point to the existance of all corperations, to make its stockholders MONEY by any legal means possible. In other words, to get you to spend your money, even if they are selling you a pile
