Silversinksam said:I've already got a tip for you, when burning the label or whatever design via the Lightscribe function, this LiteOn drive has indexing, so if it's not dark enough, you can lightscribe it twice.
The price will come down, not long ago Dual Layer media was $5 to $10 for one disc, now its less than a dollar a disk. I paid .59 cents a Lightscribe disk, trust me, thats lower in price than Tyan Yuden. I didn't pay shipping, but with shipping 15 Lightscribe disks are .93 cents each, roughly the same price as Tyan Yuden. Like I said, even if they are half as good as Tyan Yudan I will be pleased. (When Tyan Yuden makes Lightscribe media, I will probably buy that)
PS, Even if you don't use the Lightscribe feature, you can use whatever DVD media you want. The DVD player is cheap enough
Lionsault_100 said:this is tempting, but it doesn't look like a cyber deal, looks like these are the going prices for these now all the time, so i'll be able to wait untill i get the core of my new system first (CPU/mobo/memory) to get new peripherals.. heh

Try to find a link for this Liteon lightscribe for $30.99 shipped (even without the free 512mb card) it's a better price than just about every other vendor. I looked before I posted the deal.
Do a Google search, Pricewatch search, Pricegrabber or whatever you like, this was a cyber deal.
Lite-On SHM-165H6S Lowest price on Pricegrabber $40.92
Lowest price at Pricewatch: $37.99
Nextag: $45.38
Buy.com: $39.99 shipped
Zipzoomfly: $44.99
Would I post a non cyber deal
PS Get your new PC up and maybe get one of these even lower in the future, or even better technology might be the ticket. But for now, this is a good deal for somene needing a new dvd burner.
