I've got a hunch that the reason overclocking doesn't work too well on this board is due to the Bios not liking certain memory chips. So if you can OC fine on this board post your memory maker, what ICs, BIOS version
If you don't know the chips (IE under a heatspreader), post Unknown and I'll do my best to try to find what they use.
If you completely clueless download
CPU-Z and go to the SPD tab. That will give you all the info expect for the ICs. Bios Version can be found in the Mainboard Tab in the BIOS Section, on the third line titled Dated. 3/20 is V11, and 6/07 is V12
Tony, the OCZ rep over at XtremeSystems.org believes its either the Award BIOS or the Board bios that is causing incompatibility. He believes is the Award BIOS and that the board bios needs to be rewritten in order to fix the issues. But this does not explain the ability of some people being able to hit high speeds and others not, which leads me to think its certain ICs. He intends to test OCZ modules with the AW8D and the AB9 Boards next week. I'll be watching the thread he creates at XS as well as the OCZ forums and will post any findings here.
