Specking out a new system based off of a E6400. I know knowing about good clocking DDR2 Memory, so I need some recommendations

100-200$ Range

2X512MB or 2x1GB.

More than likely I will go with 2x512MB because I really don't see a need for the extra Gig.

I need it to hit 400FSB. Basically I would like to get this E6400 to 3.0GHZ.

Hard to find 2X1GB in your price range. Seems like most of the DDR2-800 stuff has gone up in price lately. Of course 2X512 is no problem for your budget, but I'd recommend 2 gig since upcoming Vista will undoubtedly be even more bloated than previous Windows versions and most games like more RAM.

I've head good things about this Patriot RAM. Supposedly it overclocks to DDR2-800 speed no problem. Several reviews available if you do a google search. There are some threads about them here on the forum too.

Here is an excellent deal on Crucial RAM if you don't mind using the $100 mail in rebate.

well I really don't plan on going to Vista anytime soon. And mainly I just want some really good ocing ram, that can play with to get a highly Oced Conroe. 3.0 seems to be pretty easy on the 6400. I'll go to 2GB next summer, or maybe X-mas time.
