I'm trying to decide which sound card to get. I want it to have DD Live over pci and at least 5.1 support. I would also like it to have optical in at least as an option. I have narrowed it down to these 3 cards-

The XMYSTIQUE is a little older, I know, but still should be good, I would have to get the daughter card to have optical in

The XPLOSION looks awesome, but it doesn't seem to support optical in at all. True?

The b-enspirer looks nice, but I'm not sure about it. It looks a little cheap in the pictures for some reason.

I will be using this card with logitech z5300's over analog connections, but I want the option of digital in the future.
Other sugestions are welcome, but please, no creative cards.

I've decided that my next sound card will be the b-enspirer and I've heard nothing but good things about it, so I'd say go with that one.

I just recently upgraded from A Gamer 2ZS to the x-Plosion. X-Plosion wins hands down. the DD and DTS upmix work flawlessly and all formats are upmixed to 5.1 optical in your choice of output. I haven't had the need to use the ananlog side, (unlike with the Creative I had to have duplicate inputs, one ananlog, one coax digital so i could get 5.1 differing sources). I give it five stars.

The bluegears card would deffinatly be my first choice.
